Our spring concert explores the issue of human migration and the ways in which categorization of demographic groups enables human beings to become callous to the stories of individuals. The concert will feature a performance of Caroline Shaw’s breathtaking cantata To the Hands and a work by Filipina composer Anya Lagman concerning one’s relationship to their country of ethnic heritage. These will be complemented by a series of pieces from our first call for scores, which makes this project not simply about human connection in an abstract sense, but in a very tangible and practical sense for us as an artistic community.
Tickets are pay what you will with no minimum. Cash and card accepted at the door.
